Metier Cook’s Supply closing, but not before a big cookbook, kitchenware sale

It’s a sad day for vintage cookbook lovers. And fancy knife fanatics. And collectors of antique kitchen tools.

Metier Cook’s Supply, the kitchen and cookbook store on South First Street that sold both vintage and new books and tools, is closing its doors soon so that the owners, Jessica Maher and Todd Duplechan, can focus their efforts on their restaurants Lenoir and the newly opened J.T. Youngblood’s. (They are also working with Shane Stiles on a new project in Dripping Springs.)

Metier Cook’s Supply is closing after three years in business on South First Street. Contributed by Metier Cook’s Supply.

The old house where the store has been housed is located right next to Lenoir, and Maher says that they still plan to use the space, but for restaurant purposes.

On Facebook, the owners posted about a farewell sale this week, but no word on when it will officially shutter.
