This is a little last minute, but if you run a food company — or are curious about getting into the business — H-E-B is hosting an event from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. today at the Sustainable Food Center, 2921 E. 17th St., to offer local food and beverage innovators guidance on submitting their products in the H-E-B Primo Picks Quest for Texas Best competition.
Potential entrants are invited to attend this meeting for advice on product development and best practices for submitting their creation in the competition. For more details and how to register, please see below/attached.
This is the fourth year for the competition for cash prizes and placement in select H-E-B stores throughout the state. The deadline to enter your products is April 5, and you can find out more at heb.com/quest.
The Quest for Texas Best has brought more than 136 new products to H-E-B shelves since 2014, including the Texas Pie Company’s Original Pie Dough Puck from Kyle and Austin’s own Gloriana Koll and Keesha Waits of Kitchun, a local granola company.
